It is currently not possible to modify organic sources.
In fact, if no campaign tagging is detected at the first event of the visit, the source will be organic, determined by the referer and cannot be modified.
- If you observe that the source of your visit is equal to "Social media" and that the "Source - Detail" property is equal to "LinkedIn", this means that the visit comes from LinkedIn, without any campaign marking. The source is organic.
- If you observe that the source takes another value, for example "Organic social", and that "Source - Detail" takes the value of your campaign name, this means that the visit comes from a campaign. In the case of a campaign, the "Source - Detail" property is fed by the "Campaign - Name" property (src_campaign) and will therefore be dependent on the value sent to this property.
If you have linked the "Campaign - Name" property to the "UTM Campaign" property, then in the case of a campaign tagged with UTMs, the "Source - Detail" property will be equal to the value contained in "UTM Campaign" (since it feeds "Campaign - Name").
However, we would like to inform you of a forthcoming development that will enable you to customize and group your sources.
