Welcome to the new release note cycle, we're trying a new format - less often, more detailed release note posts. This reduces the ongoing efforts to summarize and document features are they roll out, instead grouping them up for longer format release details - settle in, and read on !
(And as always, be sure to share your feedback)
Introducing impression Capping for Evolve Modules !
Depending on your Evolve strategies, you may - or not have considered the need to sometimes passively restrict the exposure of specific evolve experiences to your audience.
Generally, we recommend a positive affirmation, or 'active opt-out' interaction to remove Audiences from specific experiences - to ensure validity of test data, and reduce additional overheads of discounting or tracking opt-out users for a given test.
That said, incorporating User and Content impression capping is a very powerful feature enabling the test campaign manager to define a set amount of total test experiences delivered (content capping), or a per-user amount of test experiences (per-user capping).
You will notice both options are now available when delivering an A|B test experience from an Engage module- as shown below.
We are very excited to expand the capabilities of the A|B Suite, and suffice it to say, we are super inspired by the amount of testing delivered via CCE using Evolve modules!
It's a great reflection on the maturing of our customers both big and small. Evolution not by haphazard hypothesis or 'blind directives', but by data-driven test executions and insights. Well Done !
Native Events
We're super excited to share news from behind the scenes - something we don't often talk about too much, as the power and importance of data structure is so very integral to our services. Great news is, the team has been very busy and ever so clever to have introduced new 'native' event types for Cxense personalization platform.
Whilst the technical specification of this incredible achievement is somewhat lost on us mere mortals, the impact across the Cxense Piano platform is nothing less than extraordinary! With the new purpose-built Native Personalization Events, Reports fun faster, UIs respond quicker, data lookups respond quicker, we can continue to offer truly scalable solutions at a much increased rate !
True to form, we're also excited to mention they are also available in Cxense Piano DMP too ! Over time, we have some very specific tasks to migrate all still-fast-but-soon-to-be-faster reports over to the new native events data formats.
- Overlap report migrated to native events (enhancement & speed improvement
- Audience Engagement Report migrated to native events
Further enhancements since last release:
- Removed Archived campaigns from Presentation View
- BugFix: Reload Preview frame on page reload
- Improved Module update response
- Enhanced code management capability
- Report interaction speed improvements
- Minor visual unification and improvements
If you missed it, be sure to catch up on the October Personalization release highlights - many major new functionality and enhancements were added, all of which provide even more value to your everyday !
Thanks for reading, happy engagement !
Simon and the ever-enhanced Personalization team.
