The broker concept in Cxense Advertising require that users both in Advertising and Publishing subsystems can be managed. Below you will see how to disable/enable, view user details, change a passwordk and modify a user's role allocation.
A broker may administer all Users in the system. General use cases include updating roles (and therefore permissions) for trusted Users, resetting passwords, disabling fraudulent Users etc.
- Log in as a broker (URL, UserName & Password are provided by your cXense Representative)
- Click the Manage Tab, and select Manage Users from the drop down list
- Select a User account (filter the User list as required)
- You now have full access to the User's details and roles
Disabling a User Account
- Locate a User account (as per initial steps on this page)
- Select a User account (filter the User list as required)
- Uncheck the enabled checkbox within the User Details form fields
Change a Password
- Locate a User account (as per initial steps on this page)
- Select a User account (filter the User list as required)
- Enter a new password and confirmation password
- Click save
- The password has now been updated.
The new password is never emailed to a user. If you update a password on a User's behalf you will need to inform them of the update, and suggest they update it immediately after logging in.
Modify a User's Role Allocation
- Locate a User account (as per initial steps on this page)
- Select a User account (filter the User list as required)
- User the Checkboxes within the Role Allocation grouping to select required Roles
- Click Save
