There are three different access levels for Cxense customers:
Access | Description |
Customer Admin |
The user sees all Site Groups, users and sites within a customer. |
Lectura (Read) | The user sees graphs and reports for sites within the Site Group. |
Lectura&Escritura (Read&Write) |
In addition to Read privileges, the user can add sites, modify and delete the site group. |
Permissions are granted per Site Group and users can have either Read or Read&Write access to a Site Group.
In order to grant users with different permissions according to their roles, it is necessary to split the use of Insight, Content and DMP across more than one Site Group. A typical setup could be to create three different Site Groups containing the same sites, but with different users and permissions.
If you, for example, have users that should only access to traffic data and Insight Workspaces, you would then need to ensure that your Content Configuration and Segments are set up in a different Site Group.
Examples:
- A person selling segments only, does not need to have access to the Site Group where Content Configuration is stored.
- A developer working on defining and optimizing Content Configuration, may need access to the traffic data reports found in the Site Group controlling access to Insight Workspaces. He/She needs access to the Site Group for Content, but not the one holding the segments.
The following draw is an example of the setup suggested previously. Please note that the clouds ("Sites"), will normally contain the same set of Sites.
