Configuration testing
Once your configuration is complete, you can test it to check whether everything is in order. Unlike the testing feature in the variables section, this feature allows testing all of your variables simultaneously, in order to ensure everything is working properly.
There are two types of tests to choose from, depending on your needs.
The first test consists of manually inserting a hit, a URL, or a User Agent to be tested.
Tip: By default, the User Agent value corresponds to that of your internet browser.
The second test allows you to create a panel of hits retrieved from traffic to your site. You can define the maximum number of hits that the panel should contain, as well as the time period during which the hits are retrieved.
Release
Once your configuration is completed and you have finished all necessary tests, the configuration must be released.
Three tabs are available to recap the changes that will be made: Variables, Mapping, and Hit Exclusion.
During the release process, you will be asked to enter a description detailing the nature of this release. This description is specific to the configuration and will be seen by all users with access to the configuration. We recommend providing a very clear explanation of the changes, in case someone else wants to take a look at the configuration.
History
This menu allows you to find all of the releases performed on your configuration.
Months highlighted in bold are those in which a release was performed.
Once you access a specific configuration, you can click the button for more details to display all changes made, as well as the description entered during the release process.
