AT Connect Dolist
The AT Connect Dolist allows you to track the performance of your various marketing messages. Analyse the impact of your emailing campaigns on the entire user journey and on your overall digital strategy. Optimise your campaigns by segmenting your audiences and delivering personalised messages based on reliable data.
- Easily activate the AT Connect Dolist connector: this connection is based on Piano Analytics marketing campaign tags. You are guided step by step through the activation process.
- Track emailing openings: add the tracking pixel in your messages to easily track the openings of your various emailing campaigns sent with Dolist.
- Track emailing link clicks: deploy tags for each link and CTA present in your emailing campaigns. Make sure your campaigns are properly implemented from their launch and fully assess the impact on your site: traffic, interest, conversions, etc.
- Segment your audiences: take advantage of Piano Analytics segmentation tools to analyze the behavior of your different audiences and target them with your emailing campaigns. Combine the emailing data with all the KPIs available in Piano Analytics in order to optimize your next campaigns.
Concept and requirements
The AT Connect Dolist is based on Piano Analytics marketing campaign tags. The integration allows you to track email openings and clicks on links made in campaigns sent with Dolist. More information on marketing campaign tags thanks to this link.
Prerequisites to set up the AT Connect Dolist:
- Have a Dolist account.
- Have an Piano Analytics account.
- Activate the Campaigns plugin in Tag Composer.
Activation of the campaigns plugin in Tag Composer
The first step is to check that you have activated the Campaigns plugin in Tag composer on the Piano Analytics side. Indeed this plugin is prerequisite for the proper functioning of this integration. You must therefore go to the Piano Analytics (Explorer> Configuration> Data Collection> Tagging> Tag Composer), check the tag deployed on your site and verify the correct activation of the Plugin Campaigns (see the screenshots below).
Configuration of openings tracking
You will now be able to track the openings of your various emailing campaigns. You must add a Piano Analytics tracking pixel in the HTML content of a Dolist block.
Important - Before deploying the tracker, you must manually declare your campaigns or have requested the activation of the automatic declaration of campaigns for your Piano Analytics account. More information in these two articles: auto-declaration and campaign tracking.
Here is the tracking format to follow openings. This is a Piano Analytics tracking pixel:
<img width='1' height='1' alt='' src='http://logsxxxx.xxxx/hit.xiti?s=xxxx&xto=A-B-C&type=email&' >
Here is the correspondence of the parameters:
- Logxxx: corresponds to your SSL collection domain logsxxxx.xiti.com.
- s: corresponds to your Piano Analytics site number.
- xto: must contain a prefix indicating the type of campaign, as well as a Piano Analytics campaign identifier.
- Mandatory :
A: prefix EREC (acquisition emailing), EPR (relational emailing) or ES (commercial emailing).
B: value of the campaign identifier.
C: emailing identifierwith the format [label] or id [label].
- type = email: corresponds to the type of campaign, here it will always be email&. We recommend that you place this tracking pixel at the end of the message. Placed at the top, the pixel could interfere with the good readability of the message or be called wrongly (preview, spam filter robots, etc.).
Example
Here is an example of deployment of this opening tracking in Dolist. The pixel has only the mandatory parameters. This is a commercial emailing (ES) with the identifier "3" and the campaign label "Black_Friday_1".
Which gives us the following pixel to insert into the email:
<img width='1' height='1' alt='' src='https://logs1409.xiti.com/hit.xiti?s=599255&xto=ES-3-[BLack_Friday_1]&type=email&'>
You must then go to the Dolist interface in order to access the message editor. Then you can edit the HTML code of the last block to add the tracking pixel:
You can then add the tracking code after the HTML code of the block, directly in the Dolist email message editor. Here is an overview of this integration:
You can then save and publish your email campaign. The openings will be tracked and will feed the Piano Analytics.
Here is an example of the result obtained in the Explorer interface:
Configuration of clicks tracking
You can also track the clicks on the links present in your various emailing campaigns. You must add the Piano Analytics campaign trackings in your links present in your emails, when they are created in Dolist.
Important - Before deploying the tracker, you must manually declare your campaigns or have requested the activation of the automatic declaration of campaigns for your Piano Analytics account. More information in these two articles: auto-declaration and campaign tracking.
Here is the format of the campaign trackings. You must add these variables at the end of your links:
https://www.site.com/?at_medium=email&at_emailtype=acquisition&at_campaign=12&at_creation=my_creation&at_send_date=20190401&at_link=cta_button
Find all the configuration information for these variables and the various options available in this dedicated documentation: https://developers.atinternet-solutions.com/javascript-en/campaigns-javascript-en/marketing-campaigns-v2/
Example
Here is an example of the deployment of this tracking. The campaign tracking has the following parameters: It is an “email” (at_medium) with the type “promotion” (at_emailtype), the campaign name is “Black_Friday” (at_campaign), the creation is “Black_Friday_1” (at_creation) and the tracked link is the “more_information” button (at_link).
Which gives us the following tracking to insert into the email:
http://attestpart.000webhostapp.com/dolist/tab.html?at_medium=email&at_emailtype=promotion&at_campaign=BLack_Friday&at_creation=BLack_Friday_1&at_link=more_information
You must then go to the Dolist interface in order to access the email editor. Then you can add this campaign tracking in your links from the global options ("Global options" button located at the bottom left of the interface).
You can then add the campaign tracking directly in the dedicated field with the "Add parameters to all links" section and the "Handle" button.
You can also proceed differently by adding these trackings to each link in your email. You can then paste the entire link, including trackings as in the example below.
You can then save and publish your email campaign. The clicks on your links will be tracked and will feed the Piano Analytics.
Here is an example of the result obtained in the Data Query interface:
Global results in Piano Analytics
The AT Connect Dolist powers several interfaces of Piano Analytics. You can find your emailing campaign data in Explorer or in Data Query. You will find various examples below. Thanks to this integration you can for example follow, in Explorer, the openings of your Emailing campaigns sent from Dolist:
You can also follow the clicks on the “MORE INFORMATION” button present in this emailing campaign:
Finally, you can also find all this information in the Data Query tool:
