According to the GDPR
Article 25 of the GDPR defines the meaning of personal data minimisation:
‘The controller shall implement appropriate technical and organisational measures for ensuring that, by default, only personal data which are necessary for each specific purpose of the processing are processed. That obligation applies to the amount of personal data collected, the extent of their processing, the period of their storage and their accessibility.’
Regarding Piano Analytics
At Piano Analytics, we implement various procedures to ensure data minimisation by default. ‘Privacy by design’ is at the core of all our developments:
- The storage duration of personal data (as a reminder, all Analytics data) is 25 months by default.
- Our markers may, for certain settings (see CNIL exemption or hybrid measure), block by default the sending of non-necessary / unauthorised data.
- Our Data Manager tool enables you to maintain the control of your marking and of uploaded data. You may, for example, rectify information, or delete after collection.
